We give ground flax seed, on top of their food, but keep it refrigerated to prevent the oil from going rancid. What have you read about the danger of eating whole flax seed? I understand that you aren’t getting the full benefits, but what are the dangers. I use to grind my own, and some of the hulls weren’t ground, and just figured they weren’t doing any good, I never thought they were dangerous though.
I agree, it took some time to find a food with no flax seeds or ground flax seeds. I did find one that said ground but now I don't remember which one it was.
