With some very reactive dogs we have to start with the sound off or very low. Every one has to work on this and use the same cues. It will only confuse the dog, if Mom says enough, Dad says shut up, Grandma says, Oh do be quiet and the children laugh at the dog. We often have to retrain pups to live quietly with the sweeper, dishwasher, dryer and animals on TV. It is a common problem and persistence will work.
