Buster is a 4 year old male, who normally acts like the energizer bunny on steroids. Last evening, I put the tube of advantix stuff in three spots on top of his back to treat fleas, lice, ticks. Since this morning, he is lethargic , does not want to move around, always licking towards his tail, does not want to eat or drink, ears and tail are tucked down, moves very quickly a few feet then sits down for long periods of time like a statue. Finally, about an hour ago, I gave him his favorite treat, a raw cut up carrot. He ate that like a starving man and drank at least some water. I washed his back, but don't know if that medication is causing some kind of irratation ? Any ideas? On a side note, what kind of dog food should I be giving him? Also have another male yorkie, 2 and a half, got the same med treatment; but is doing just fine.
