my dogs have a fecal test every year to test for internal
parasites.
If you do this , your vet can give you the proper meds
if he does have worms.
Depending on what type of heartworm preventive you give him,
most also treat for internal parasites.
Probably the easiest thing to do is take a poop sample to your vet and have him tested..
