Default Yeast-does this make sense to anyone?

Tomorrow is the vet visit for yearly shots an a check-up. I have been reading a lot here on he Forum about yeast. As usual, Latte's itching and scooting are quite minor in comparison with others I've read about. However, I do think there's something about the yeast...I am going to ask for a cytology for it, and an examination of her "personals". There seems to be a sticky, brown substance in her vaginal area, that doesn't seem to be urine. I wonder if this is a yeast discharge of some kind? I am also not happy with the RC HP food-she likes it, but I still observe itching and scooting and paw chewing, even with the new round of cortisone. The yeast shampoo is on it's way, but I really feel I need to know for certain if she has yeasty skin-she doesn't smell, but...I feel it can't hurt to check.
These issues have been going on for years (She's almost 10). I am still uncertain about VARL allergy testing. If it comes out inconclusive, I'm out the $$ with no real answers. I would love to be feeding her a meat based diet of some kind. It seems to me that soy and brewers rice could be adding to the yeast problem. Does this make any sense? I go to the vet tomorrow.
