All puppies bit a lot - and YES - it hurts!

Mine would love to chew on me. I just do everything possible to keep that from happening. I give him toys - feed him - put my shoes on - wear long sleeved sweat shirts - play tug of war for a while - cover myself with a blanket - put him on the floor - put him in a confined area ----- and tell him "No no no no" every time he does it. If he's biting me - I just don't let it continue. It hurts and it's definitely no fun for me.

I even used to hand him to my daughter and say, "Here! Let him bite you for a while." (Joke!)

He's five months old now, and I think he is beginng to do less biting. Part of it is that he's older and becoming interested in a lot of other things beside me.

I have never had a puppy that didn't do the same thing. And - they do all outgrow it.
