Try not to ruffhouse with her so much. When she bites, say Ouch and stop playing. If she continues, try faking crying. Sometimes this upsets them enough to make them stop. Then wait a little bit, and begin gentle playing with her. Also try to teach her 'Easy', to tone down her play when she gets overly excited. Don't play tug-of-war with her either. Be sure to tell her "Good Girl" when she is not biting, or when she stops for a few seconds. If they don't know what you want, they won't know to do it. So when she stops for a second, reward and praise her, then make her wait a bit longer the next time, etc. |
