It is lots of repetition that counts and daily short times much better than once a wk training.

I just bend over from the waist and show treat to motivate dog to move, and begin each time with heel command I take one step, and then using treat bring dog into a sit when I stop.

I have a park nearby that has a log bench. I've used that in the past with the dog up on bench and we do heeling exercise.
