First have him checked by your vet for any health problems. Second: Is he a good representation of the breed? All colors in the right place, correct coat texture, good straight teeth? Then you will want to have his DNA tested by AKC.(go to their website) Then make sure all the females that you will be breeding him with are in good health, get a health certificate from their vet. And also all of the above on the females.. Then of course the first time he isn't proven so it would probably be either a freebie or very cheap.
These are just some of the things you must consider before you attemp breeding him.
