I know how challenging Roxie can be on a walk...especially if she sees a person or dog she doesn't like...she goes nuts! I wouldn't want these kids to panic and let go of her leash or, God forbid, get hurt.
How can I kindly tell these girls "thanks, but no thanks" without hurting their feelings? |
They are your dogs, if you don't want anyone to walk them, you have a right to say so. No need to be nasty, just say 'no thanks...'. And if their feelings get hurt, too bad. I wouldn't trust any kid to walk my dog anywhere. And if they loose the dogs - then what?? 'Ohhhhhh, sorry', will not bring them back. Strange as to why their parents would allow them to do this, very big responsibility.
