We use buddy belts. But... that being said, it took quite a few orders to find the right one. We first ordered the original black harness. It works great, but was really stiff, and bothered our little guys legs(in their armpits). Many here will tell you the size must have been off, but that was not the case at all.
In the end, we ordered from their "natural" collection. It's perfect. Same size(2), but was for whatever reason, not double stitched, and much more soft and subtle. The leather was much more thin, and less rivets. They make pads to go under their armpits, but they just made it more bulky. We loved the design so just kept trying. The design is great for yorkies, and now that we have two "natural" buddy belts in the house, it makes our walks so much more enjoyable. Both of our boys would just lay down flat as soon as we put put our original BB on, and we could not figure out why. The thick leather was actually rubbing on their front elbows. Once we found the natural version, they are begging to walk. I guess both our boys, from different breeders, have weird body structures, but they hated the buddy belts until we got the naturals.
Most people here love buddy belts, so im pretty sure you cannot go wrong, but if your yorkie seems to be a bit put off, put it on and feel behind his front legs. If its rubbing, your yorkie is not going to want to walk. Try the natural buddy belt. The buudy belt liners did not work for our boys, just made is rub more, albeit softer.

Try buddy belts first, its a great product. May take some trial and error, but its worth it in the end. IMO
