I started as a junior handler and my 14 year old daughter is in juniors now. It is a wonderful thing for young people. When I was a teenager, I was more interested in my dogs than boys and my daughter is the same way. We may not get along at home like many mothers and teenage daughters but we never fight at the dog show. It is also nice to see her out of her jeans and t-shirt and into a suit with her long hair pulled back.

The AKC website is where your daughter needs to get started. She will need to apply for a free junior handler number and the AKC will send her a rule book and a quarterly newsletter.
