The one thing I can tell you from my experience is never "plan" on anything because we haven't had a litter here yet that went as planned! Last litter, I took Zoe to work with me and at 6 days early, she almost had the puppies in my office and as it was, the first one was born in my car speeding home. Talk about stress! If you are going to breed, you really need a job that will be flexible and understanding with you because it's just not fair to her or the puppies... and I will also say that sometimes that first week after the puppies is born is really tough too with worrying about puppies eating and I've had to tube feed and supplement more than one puppy which means getting up every 2 hours even through the night and missing work during the day.... if this is something you are going to continue to do, maybe it's time to find a new job? I know that I certainly couldn't do this if my boss wasn't so good to me.
