Lucky was about 4 months old when my daughter was born. He never tried to bother her or anything. We just made sure that he knew from the beginning not to mess w/ her. Just told him no if he tried to lick her face or take a toy. He does great now! My daughter is 7 1/2 months old & they are best friends!
My daughter is crawling now & she goes over to him and just sits there w/ him & he will bring her his toys! Its so cute!
I'm sure yours will do fine! You just need to introduce them slowly, like while your at the hospital have your husband come home to check on the dog & bring a baby blanket w/ your childs smell on it & give it to the dog. That way when you bring the baby home the dog is already familiar w/ the baby.
