Initially Elvis had to be hand fed to be confident in eating.
Now he's a piranha like the other two here thrashing his face in the bowl.

Scoobers came with a lot of issues and food aggression was one of them-he is now the one that will wait and take his turn-

go figure, total role reversal on the two that came to me with the opposite behaviors.

Princess (min schnauzer) ends eat meal with a large pronounced and prolonged burp-every single time! What a lady right?

We really worked with the dogs to take food very politely from hand though because we have children who give treats and I will never accept a dog as trained if they jump or snap for food from a hand-that is a very bad behavior.

Although I should also say all of mine are very clean eaters they eat out of their bowls and should food hit the ground they seem to look and make sure they are allowed to take it because I really worked on them NOT eating off the floor or ground...of course now that baby has these "puff" (baby food puffed fruits and vegis in grains a starter food for infants and toddlers) I once again have some floor scavengers-there is something about the puffs that is just too yummy tempting for them.

Plus baby has discovered the sheer joy of hand feeding dogs who will sit and wag and lick hands and love him so much when he feeds them-so grateful we really working on "take it nice".
