I have four girls and find that their nails all seem to grow at different rates. I clip some of them weekly, biweekly or monthly depending upon how they look at different times of the year. Also, I find that often times their front nails seem to grow much faster than the back ones. Has anyone else found this?
Don't you also think that their nails grow faster in the summer than the winter just like ours do?
I use little cat clippers on my girls which seem to work the best because I can see the nail so much better. I've never had a problem with nicking the quick so far, thank goodness for that. I'm always very careful and I know this can be very unnerving to worry about while clipping the nails too.
Lindi hates having her nails clipped so I have my husband give her a favorite treat while I clip her nails. She focuses on the treat and pays no attention what so ever to the fact that I'm clipping her nails. It helps me get it done in minutes which is great!
