Exactly! Mine is 10 pounds and I LOVE it. When I got her, I was looking for a dog that would be 5 to 6 pounds. I am sooo glad she's bigger than that bc once she was that weight I realized how small it is. 10 pounds is still little, but it definitely helps ease your worries about injuries from jumping and getting into small places.
Stormy's mom is 6 pounds and her dad is 4 pounds and she's almost two years old now and is 10 pounds. You can't judge their weight based off their parents. Breeders should never guarantee you a weight on their dog and if your breeder is a good one, I doubt they told you that your dog would be a specific weight and not grow to be bigger than that. In my opinion, your dog looks all Yorkie. Just like human doctors, vets don't know EVERYTHING and their opinion is just that, an opinion.
