So I went and looked at buying sod...$2800 to re-sod the back yard only!!!!
That doesn't include the ripping up and flattening out and the treatments you have to give sod to get it to lay down in the first two weeks.
I could just fill with sod right-but that's like when you spill and wipe it and realize you just made a clean spot on the floor 
Can you imagine a few perfect squares of grass and then the rest becomes so apparently hideous. This stinking crab grass and the super long shoots that crop up is so annoying...wow you know your inner child is just about dead when you are excited to be getting things like sod and grass seed!

I laid 4 pallets of sod by myself first week of April. It is beautiful and growing good. I lost my sod last year that I had laid and after researching and talking to different people I decided I was doing it this time. The last sod I think was the wrong kind for the area I needed it in and it was not laid right either.
Jack and Josie love the new sod, it almost feels like carpet. It's nice and fluffy. It's called palmetto grass, good for shaded areas with some sunlight.
It wasnt cheap either, lol.
