I know she took a piece of your heart with her when she went to the bridge. She took a little piece of all of our hearts here, and she will be missed. Sleep peacefully, sweet Zoey.
Zoey was never told what to do- You made requests to her. She had a stubborn streak a mile long but so sweet.

Even as a puppy- If is was raining, windy, cold, etc. & it was time to go outside to go potty you would have to carry her from the sofa outside to the grass she would them potty and then stare at you to pick her up and carry her back in. She would run to the door to go potty on warm, sunny days. Substandard weather was not acceptable to her.

She definitely did things on her terms. No one told Zoey what to do.

Cozy will still clean Roxy and Lucy but after she was weaning Zoey would not allow her mother to wash any part of her. Zoey as a 16 week old puppy would groom her own face with her paws and her own spit like a cat. She also maintained her own toenails but chewing them to keep them short. She would never tolerate combing except a topknot. Her hair was always short and sassy which fit her perfectly.
