Yup, I've flown Southwest several times. With our new girl, Mia, that means three are in cabin with me! There isn't much clearance room under the seats. Offhand I think it's only 8 3/4 in. high. The Sherpa bag is bendable and will fit if your baby is bigger. For the littler girls, I use Kwiggy Bo bags. Aside from the carrier, not much else will fit under the seat except a small pocketbook. Lola (16lbs.- in the Sherpa) fits better under the center seat, since it's the widest. Southwest is nice to fly with pets, though it's not quite as roomy as some airlines.
