Ruby is the aggressor in our home and has had several fights with one of our other three. But lately she has been being more and more submissive with the rolling over on her back to allow the others to sniff her. She just lays there Spread Eagle begging for attention from them. So, in my home that is a Good thing !
I look at is as kind of a lets be friends sort of action to strange dogs. It is like the doggy hand shake (butt sniff) but without all of the beating around the bush. She's just saying: Sniff all you want and than lets get down to the fun part (play time) of this encounter.
As far as the peeing thing, I can see that being a scared reaction to a larger dog. I'm thinking it will pass once they get to know each other more.
