This is an unusual circumstance. Bless all the teachers out there because we have an extremely difficult job that is very wearing. Great post and great to hear the perspective from a mother and a teacher. You go girl!!!
Thank you. I hesitated myself to post. But I too work with amazing teachers who care so much. It seems like we always hear about the bad stuff but never the good ones. There are so many that go above and beyond to help kids on a daily basis. I have a cotaught class with my special ed kids. One of my favorite students is a special needs little girl. She grabbed my heart and ran with it. And like I said, my son had wonderful teachers once we got in the right school district. I wouldn't have changed his jr high or high school years for anything. His graduation day I hugged his teacher with tears pouring down my face. I can never ever thank him enough for all he did for my child. And there are many out there like him! Sounds like you are that way too and as a mom, we are blessed to have the good ones to take care of our children. I feel for this family. I really do. I hope they stand up for their child and do something about it.
