I absolutely would not let her go through her first heat because getting them spayed before there first heat cuts out the risk of of some cancers and illnesses which it wont completely do for certain ones if you wait until there first heat. I would just make sure that they do blood work before hand. A lot of 3 pounders have been spayed and where just fine.
