I am going to measure out half a cup and see how long it takes for her to eat it but I am wondering if anyone feeds their yorkie a set amount and how much does your dog eat in one day?

Also I feed her good quality food she is currently on nutrience but I am in the process of switching her over to Arcana small breed.

Thanks so much for any info you can give me

You don't want to leave dog food out that long. It will spoil and possibly become rancid. Better dog foods have fewer preservatives and spoil faster. If you put down fresh food at a scheduled time, she will probably eat more. One of my boys turns up his nose when we get to the bottom of a food bag. For safety, never leave food down for more than a day, and less if possible.

When comparing how much individual dogs eat, keep in mind that different dog foods have different calorie/fat measurements per cup. My boys eat a food that has 380 calories per cup, so they eat 3/4 cup total a day. They are 8.4 and 9.0 pounds.
