My aunt used to be on call for pet emergencies and has delivered quite a few litters in her time, I have contacted her.
I wanted advice on what I should be feeding and doing to care for my baby girl at this time to make sure she's as healthy as can be.
Thank you for the advice so far. |
OMG, what if your baby needs an emergency CC, what will you do? Just let her die? Cut her open without any anesthesia? Seriously, your vet told you that and you allowed your girl around a male dog? Do you understand that you need way more information than what someone can write in a couple of threads? I'm sorry to be so harsh, but I've been around YT for a long time and I'm familiar with all that can go wrong. Domesticated dogs are not wild animals, and often need human intervention for delivering their pups. There are so many dangerous signs to look out for and a breeder should know when to rush the dog to the vet. You won't even have a vet available. You should talk to your local vet and see if he has the proper equipment to do an emergency spay, if not, you should fly elsewhere to take care of the situation. Also, I suggest you ask your aunt what to buy, since you feel like she knows what she is doing.
