I would hope that there are more things taken into consideration as to who they adopt their dogs out to than just what a person does for a living. Of course having medical knowledge is a very good thing but personalities and living conditions are important as well. Some dogs need a fenced yard and some need a stay at home owner. There should be many things taken into consideration for adoption. Hopefully a rescue would eventually have a dog that is just right for your particular lifestyle and personality.
