UPDATE:
The lost yorkie was reunited with her family 4/24/12 evening. A flyer was discovered on a bulletin board, they called the number and the lady was able to describe her in great detail, all the way down to the very distinctive freckles/birthmark on her belly the Yorkie that they were hoping to reuinite with her owner. Turns out that her kids let her out by accident.
One lesson for all-- this dog did have a microchip, but the owner had not registered it. The pup would have gone home a day sooner if her mom would have mailed in the paper work!
I think this family learned their lesson and will keep her safe. And now, the people who found the lost OK Yorkie have fallen in love with Yorkies, and will be looking for one to live with them! So, a happy ending all around! lol
I am pleased that this story had ended on such good note and not too much time to locate the owners, who helped by posting on that bulletin board. Regardless, I'll be hugging my Yorkies extra tight tonight.
