Well, Sophia had a vet visit today for her itching. This has been going on forever and nothing seems to work. She has started loosing hair. I'd say she has thinned out to about 40% total hair loss. She has a few bald spots as well.
Luckily, she started off with such thick hair she doesn't look bad yet. Oddly, the thinning looks good because her cottony coat is laying better than it ever has before. But, I obviously realize that this is not a good thing and any further hair loss will be awful.
I've been working with my vet on this for quite a while and today we made the decision to give the Atopica a try. I am REALLY hoping it works. My poor girl is miserable and I feel so bad for her.
So, I just wanted to share and ask for some good wishes for my sweet Sophia girl. She is truly the sweetest little thing alive and I so hope this works well for her. She deserves to have a higher quality of life than itching all the time.
