We had the same with Rosie our lab before she was spayed....
What we also found a bit strange, once she had been done - was a mark used to appear on either side of her tail, sort of at the top of her hips - 2 small 1"-ish round marks - at approximately the time she
would have been coming into season....They used to disappear after a few weeks.
Of course we wouldn't see this in our Yorkies - with all their hair...
