East end of Queen St. Has leashfree waterfront park. Cherry Beach the same. Warning Cherry Beach has just been posted - coyote alert.

Go at off times - all sizes of dogs play there. Best if midwk afternoons - not so busy.
Dog walkers tend to use Cherry Beach a lot about 1-3 ish.

For Lake Ontario and with a Yorkie pup - wait until July August to try to introduce puppy to water.

Center Island is a good romp with your pup. All my dogs love the ferryboat ride.

Look up Leash Free dog parks Toronto. I know of no outside ones that have small dog only times.

My favourite place is Kelso Conservation - but you'd need a car. I love the water there it gets warm early in the year.

Also for puppy and Lake Ontario - don't try to introduce him/her to water until hot July timeframe.

Look up Pawsaway I think they will run play days for toy or small breeds. I believe there is one on the harbourfront - might also be one closer to you.

Also we have regional sections here - you might find a fellow neighbour if you go to "our" section.
