When we're outside and ZoE comes across something nasty I don't want her touching....poo, bugs, gum on sidewalk...etc., I've always said "yucky" and she leaves it alone.
The first time since I've had her that I broke a glass dish on the kitchen floor and shards went everywhere and ZoE rushed towards them, I automatically yelled "yucky" and she backed off. So "yucky" is our toward meaning don't touch it or go near it. It works for us
