I am not letting her 'stay' in this condition. She has a cast on for 6 weeks. This is what the doctor told me. She is not in pain and she is more active now. She is on steroids and pain meds to correct the problem. Please understand this was an emergency and we rushed her to the vet. I didn't have time to do research or even know what she had at the time. I didn't know surgery was the only way to correct it. I went with what the vet told me, that either this or surgery can fix it. He said lots of dogs have gotten this cast done and have been successful so i am being hopeful and waiting the 6 weeks. we spent $3000 on that day alone, to get her the best help, i don't think i am being cruel by taking her to the vet and doing all i can. This was before i was able to come on here and speak with others about this condition. I have never even heard of this condition before this.
I am doing all i can for her, and have even taken off work to be with her. She has not been left alone at all.
