All of Canada is not included in the no dock rule. In the Maritime provinces which are New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland this rule applies. They passed a law that no cosmetic surgery could be performed on any animal. That includes the tipping of ears also, dew claws etc. If you are a breeder and you want to dock your puppies tails you can but a vet is not allowed to anymore. |
