Lost cat found in Iowa
Truck driver brings feline back home to Albany family
ALBANY, Jan. 21
By WNYT Staff
An Albany family is looking forward to a reunion with Bodhisattva, their long lost cat.
Bodhisattva's family is now living in Albany and has not seen him for about a year.
Erin Ellis and her family were moving to Albany from Tacoma, Washington.
Ellis and her daughter flew to Albany.
Her husband Dan was driving to Albany along with Bodhisattva when they stopped at a rest area in Iowa.
The cat got away and was thought to be gone forever.
Bodhisattva was found this week almost a year after it was lost in an animal shelter in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
A television station there called News Channel 13 and we found Erin and her family.
After hearing of Bodhisattva's plight, a truck driver in Iowa offered to take Bodhi to Albany.
He picked him up Saturday morning and is set to reunite the cat with his family Monday morning.
News Channel 13 will be there and will bring you the story live at noon.
