What I would do since you are starting out, is buy some large plastic storage containers in a color that matches your decor, and use those to store fabric. You can also throw things to keep out of sight (and out of KS reach) in there when you finish...spools of thread, swatches, rulers...patterns. You'll be surprised at how many things this sewing addiction creates.
