We have a kennel like that, it just doesn't have the little apartment. We leave a puppy pad in every room. Lol. Sometimes he uses them and sometimes he doesn't. But, we take him outside on a regular basis and he goes every time. I like giving treats when he goes outside, too.
If he goes inside and it's not on the puppy pad, I stick his nose in it. I never have to do more than that and he already knows he wasn't suppose to. I think he'll be pretty easy to house-train. Hopefully!!
