Be sure to keep the two separated when you're not around.
There really is no comparison when training big dogs and little dogs. I do believe in starting house training as soon as you bring them home and I also believe, from my own experience, that the training pays off in a big way. They pick up on it sooner, but it does depend on your being consistent. Good luck and welcome to YT.
