The ER Doc says she is suspicious there may be a tumor up in the nasal cavity and I did some research on the net, and it is very scary. The ER Doc says there are no instruments small enough to scope her nose and that she would have to have anesthesia and be given a CAT scan or MRI. And that comes with its own health risks. I simply don't know what to do anymore. I'm at my wits end. My poor baby is suffering so. She is having a hard time eating as she can't eat and breathe at the same time. At times she gasps for air. We can't seem to clear it up. Is there any other reason for these symptoms going on for so long, other than a tumor. The prognosis for nasal tumors is not good. I am so worried I can't sleep and I got a severe cold myself from the stress. Please help!!!

Thanks everyone,
Shellie Muffin and Cassie
Sending prayers for Cassie and you.

I took him to Animal Specialty Group in Glendale, California (after many, many vet trips.) He did have to have MRI. It was major surgery. They couldn't get it through the front; so they went in through his throat. They still aren't sure what caused it, but assume the choking incident may have caused a tiny particle to be stuck and tissue grow around it. It was weeks of poor breathing which eventually got so bad he sounded like a vaccum belt that broke (I was being told allergies, cold, etc.) You can look them up on the internet. Ted's doctor was Dr. Winters. I will look for his surgeon's name if you'd like. They are an excellent facility. Ted is fine and dandy these days...though he does sound like a little piggy at times. I feel so sad for you. I was sooooooo drained by the time I got to them, that I begged them to take him one night early because we were both so exhausted...and they did. Best of luck. All will be fine with the right care. It was expensive, but worth every penny. xo
I'm so happy for you and Ted that all turned out well. I can imagine how scary and draining this was.
