I went back over the spots I tried today with a blacklight...... still nothing !! The pee spot I tried was so big, you could actually see the 6" circle that was cleaned, and all the spots outside of the 6" radius still fluoresced green.  gross! |
Certain things can cause stain, for example, if you didn't get it out fast enough, the ammonia in urine can "bleach" the rug and cause a permanent stain. As most of you know, when something is bleached there's no way to get the stain out. Also, certain cleaners can "set" a stain. Some people use dishwashing detergent, and certain kinds have bleach in them which can cause a stain if it's not totally rinsed out immediately. I also think all soiled marks need to be pretreated before steam cleaning because hot water can "set" a stain.
