Max has had some similar spots on his undercarriage that our vet wasn't quite sure what they are. The vet thought maybe some kind of allergy. Theresa has a thread in the health section about Riley's spots...I'll find that in a minute.
Sophia's do a look a little more like a bruise. I don't think it would be the BB or tugging hair -- I "helicopter" my boys in the harnesses and they have had some pretty good tangles in their armpits and never bruised.
