Please know that some babies get car sick, especially for the first ride or so. Rowdy stood and shook for the ride home - only 3 miles. But we started taking him in the car a lot from the very beginning and he never got carsick. I think you will do fine - but i agree about the pee pad, if he hasn't had his shots, you don't want him walking on the grass where lots of other animals have been.
