Puppies start out eating numerous times a day as babies, then 5X's then 3x's and at 6 months I reduce to twice (depending on size and dog..) Then at 1 yr I go down to once. I use to free feed, but my Lilly will eat until its all gone so I have to pick it up and put it down, I play games all day with their food!!
