And he was specifically asked NOT to follow him on the 911 call. IMO, he went looking for trouble and guess what? He found it.

Well I hear people saying he MUST be guilty because he had a gun and he followed someone. And it's not like he shot the kid in the back. Something happened there and none of us knows for sure just what. Was it self defense? Was it a neighborhood watchman who took his job too seriously? Was it some racist who just wanted to kill some young kid that night? I don't know and neither do you....
And by the way... the 911 tape I heard did not say "don't follow him" it said
"you don't NEED to do that" big difference to me....
