Hi there. I have two 14 week yorkie pups and two adult staffordshires. They weigh about 20kilos. The main thing is not to leave the alone together until they are comfortable together. A crate is a good way to keep the yorkie safe when you are out. My dogs know instinctively to be careful around the pups and generally look down before jumping off the furniture to make sure the way is clear. Don't be too concerned about a growl or bark this is how the dogs communicate their status etc. The main stress times at first are around food, feed them separately at first. Also excitement when getting ready to go out and the little one can get under foot. I put the pups in the crate until we are ready to go out the door. Don't be surprised if you fall for this little one and keep him once your dog accepts the new arrival. Bug digs and little ones can be best friends.
