I've heard that bones are bad for dogs. Cooked ones, especially, can chip and the pieces swallowed. They can also chip teeth. Too bad. Mine love them too. I googled and found this FDA link.

A lot of people buy bully sticks. They're kinda disgusting when you find out what they're made of, but the dogs love them. They're meat, so they don't chip.

You can also try nylabones or kongs.

Any chew toy should be supervised, though.

Hopefully others will weigh in too. I'm no expert.
