this is a well known fact on breeding circles, NO female under 5 pounds should be bred regardless of the size of the male, the female regulates the size of the pups up to whelping time, but a small female will have smaller pelvic bone making even the smallest of puppy heads too big to fit thru the birth canal.
the smaller the female the higher the risk of a c-section or death caused by a stuck puppy.. loss of female and pups risks are very high..
