30oz at 8 weeks minus the 11oz he was at 6 weeks old in on a gain of 1.9oz in two weeks. That is an average weight gain of only 3.7 oz. per week. Very possible!
I do hope that the breeder did not release the pups at the age of 5 weeks old. That is way to early. Some here would argue that 8 weeks is also too early for a pup to leave their mother and litter mates.
