Yay! I'm so excited for you! Sewing is so much fun!!!
I took a beginners sewing class at a local Joann craft store that really helped me. I had learned a few basics as a young child from my Mom and Grandma, but I needed a refresher course. The class was $75 but well worth the money. They went over many of the basics. They talked about the sewing machine and went over all the buttons and things. I know that is pretty general, but I learned a thing or two. They also went over different types of fabrics, notions, etc. We also learned many techniques and sewed a bit. I would recommend it to anyone!
