Where did you buy your machine? Most stores will give a few free lessons and teach you the basics about the machine. JoAnn's Fabrics also offers sewing classes... just saying bc sometimes it's difficult to assist online...

If you can't do classes... read and study the owner's manual with the machine in front of you.

Then, when you open a pattern, there are usually two pages of instructions inside... read and study them also. There is usually a glossary of terms too.

If you have a specific question(s)... that may be easier to answer...lol. Good Luck, and keep us posted on your progress...
