One thing to consider is that male dogs can smell a female dog in heat for miles away. It makes the male want to go find that girl! They can't help it. They are not like humans that are more effected by sight. It's all about smell. Why put your male through years of frustration? He may not mark much now but it could increase when he starts to notice the female scent. Unneutered males also tend to be more territorial and aggressive.

I know someone here on YT just had their little guy have a bad experience with his neuter but that is highly unusual. Get it done and over with. Mature males that get neutered take a while to get the hormones out of their system and some never give up the bad traits they developed before they were neutered.

Once you have him neutered he will be back to normal really fast and he will not remember a thing about the experience.
